About the Festival
The Katubhan Festival is an annual, vibrant thanksgiving celebration in Medellin, Cebu, honoring Señor Sto. Niño for a bountiful sugarcane harvest.
Formerly the Medellin Sinulog Festival, it features street dancing, ritual showdowns, and costumes inspired by the sugar industry ("tubo" means sugarcane). It is a major participant in the Pasigarbo sa Sugbo.
